In a televised message, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is compelled to declare more restrictions due to the sharp rise in the number of coronavirus cases, RIA Novosti reports.

“In the beginning of this week, we had about 450 patients a day, but now there are about 1,000. The number of patients in critical condition is also growing. We have to set restrictions again,” the Prime Minister declared.

Netanyahu reported that the cabinet of ministers has decided to limit the number of participants in massive events in order to fight against the spread of the coronavirus. “There can only be up to 50 people in bars, clubs and ceremony halls and up to 20 people at a gathering in a house,” Netanyahu clarified.
