Kazakhstan has declared July 13th as a pan-national mourning day in memory of the victims of COVID-19, Akorda reports.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has called on all citizens to stand united as one.

“I express my condolences to the families of the deceased. This is a universal tragedy for all of us. This is why I have decided to declare July 13th as a pan-national mourning day,” the head of state said, calling on his compatriots to not buy drugs and maintain stability. The President of Kazakhstan also declared that the former leadership of the Ministry of Health had made systemic errors, Sputnik-Kazakhstan reports.
