Armenian health minister Arsen Torosyan briefed the government Monday on the current COVID-19 situation.

According to him, the total number of patients in serious and critical condition is about 650, 43 of which are hooked up to ventilators.

"There are almost no citizens waiting for hospitalization at home," Torosyan noted.

Armenia has confirmed a total of 32,151 COVID-19 cases, the health ministry reported.

In the meantime, 19,865 people have recovered and the death toll has reached 573. 11,530 COVID-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment. In total, 135,687 tests have been completed.

Thus, we have 182 new cases and 232 recoveries.

"Regarding the latest cases of death, the patients were 83 (male), 71 (male), 59 (female), 70 (female), 80 (female), 70 (female), 81 (male) and 74 (male) years old. All had pre-existing chronic diseases.

1 case of death was registered yesterday when the patient tested positive for COVID-19, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 183," the ministry said in a statement.
