The extension of the state of emergency for the fourth time should be a signal to increase the vigilance, said Armenian deputy PM Tigran Avinyan on Monday.

The COVID-19 situation remains alarming but manageable, he noted.

"We are currently considering the possibility of legislative changes on ensuring sanitary and epidemiological safety," he added.

Avinyan noted that Armenia has confirmed a total of 32,151 COVID-19 cases: 546 people are in serious and 111 are in critical condition.

"And 43 patients are hooked up to ventilators," he noted.
