YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: According to the decision of the Georgian authorities, the railway will not work from September 1 to 16; that is, trains from Armenia cannot reach the ports of Poti or Batumi. The reason is the construction of a bridge in Tbilisi.

It turns out that cargo transportation will not be carried out for 16 days, whereas gasoline and diesel fuel, food and household goods are imported to Armenia by rail.

Exports from Armenia will also stop; for example, the export of minerals, which has no alternative but railways.

The South Caucasus Railway CJSC confirmed our information.

The only option is for the goods to be stored in ports for 16 days, and as soon as the railway opens, they will start quickly transporting them to Armenia.
