YEREVAN. – Despite the opposition's calls these days to unite around the army and the national flag, political repression and persecution by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continue in the country. Eduard Sharmazanov, deputy chairman of the former ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), told this to a press conference on Monday

He noted that this repression continues against the leaders of various political forces and parties in the country. According to him, active attempts are being made to topple the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party.

"New criminal cases are being initiated against my colleagues from the Republican Party," the RPA vice-chairman added.
