YEREVAN. – The embassy of Armenia is in constant contact with the Armenian peacekeepers in Lebanon; Ambassador Vahagn Atabekyan contacted them this morning, too. Anna Naghdalyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, on Wednesday noted about this on Facebook, and regarding Tuesday’s powerful explosion in Beirut.

"According to the ambassador, the peacekeepers are carrying out their service in the direction of the southern border [of Lebanon], which is quite far from the scene of the incident. The lives of peacekeepers are not in danger, and they continue to carry out their normal service," Naghdalyan added.
