YEREVAN. – According to the decision of the government, the state of emergency continues to be in force in the whole territory of the Republic of Armenia until September 11 at 5pm. Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said this Wednesday at the special sitting of the National Assembly to debate on the matter of extending the current state of emergency in the country.

"I hope that today the state of emergency is extended for the last time. At the same time, due to the epidemiological situation in the country, a number of restrictions have been eased in the state of emergency, " added Avinyan, who is also commandant of the current state of emergency in Armenia due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.

To note, 80 MPs are registered at the sitting.
