Belarusian women are holding a protest against the actions of power structures in Minsk, RIA Novosti reports.

The unauthorized protests began at midday near Komarovsky Market in central Minsk. Dressed in white, the women have gathered near the entrance to the market with the demand for the release of those who were arrested during the protests, and many of the women are holding flowers and white, heart-shaped postcards (white symbolizes the desire to change power).

Drivers passing through Independence Avenue are supporting the women by beeping. Police are following the women, but aren’t taking any action.
