A resident of one of the apartments on the second floor of an apartment building on Kievyan Street in Yerevan hindered the unlawful dismantling of a balcony by threatening to throw her child off the balcony, as reported the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

“An on-duty psychologist of the Psychological Support Division of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a firefighting-rescue squad of the Yerevan Rescue Department left for the scene, and the firefighting-rescue squad returned since there was no need to be there,” the press release of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reads.

The on-duty psychologist talked to the resident, measures were taken, and the balcony was dismantled.

In regard to the incident, spokesperson of the Mayor of Yerevan Hakob Karapetyan today informed that the illegally built balcony is being dismantled and posted photos and a video.
