YEREVAN. – The government on Thursday approved the draft decision on the approval of the 23rd measure to neutralize COVID-19’s economic consequences in Armenia.

This decision is conditioned by the need to address the difficult situation created by the coronavirus and faced by Armenia’s businesses directly related to tourism in order to ensure the continuity of their activities and the preservation of their jobs; minister of economy Tigran Khachatryan noted about this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

The aforesaid decision envisages the provision of a monthly grant to legal entities or registered sole entrepreneurs that are registered in Armenia and are not microenterprises, which were established before March 31, and whose activities were related to accommodation, catering, travel agencies and operators, reservations, and some other tourism services.
