Deputy of the Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Ani Samsonyan today posted the following on her Facebook page:

“According to the decision of the Commandant for the state of emergency, wearing face masks has also become mandatory in broadcast booths of television stations (overland networks and online), radio booths and press clubs.

This has sparked media outlets’ discontent since it is inconvenient for interviewers and their guests.

Taking into consideration the fact that there is regular and necessary social distancing between the interviewer and guest in the booths, I have submitted a letter to Commandant of Armenia Tigran Avinyan offering to reconsider the relevant decision of the Commandant’s Office and allow interviewers and guests to sit in the booths without face masks.”
