YEREVAN. – Members of the Union of Automobile Importers of Armenia are protesting in front of the main building of the government. The reason for their protest is the ban on driving cars with Armenian license plates in Russia.

In a conversation with journalists, Zohrab Igityan, a member of the Union, quoted the agreement on the Customs Union, according to which the goods of the Customs Union member states shall have free circulation in the territory of the Union.

"Our cars with Armenian license plates are being confiscated. All this has been happening for a month, and as a result, the cars that us importers had brought and cleared through customs will remain in standing Armenia," he said.
