The court hearing of the lawsuit of the legal successors of the victims of March 1, 2008 tragedy in Yerevan against the legal successors of the freedom fighters killed in the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war has resumed Monday in Yerevan.

To note, however, no plaintiff has appeared at this hearing for the past several court sessions.

The plaintiff finds that the following statement of Margarita Khachatryan, the mother of a fallen soldier, is considered a slander: "We find that the priority should have been given to the families of the fallen in times of peace during the Artsakh movement, not to the shop looters [in Yerevan]—from the opera house to the city hall."

The plaintiff finds that the following statement of Satenik Khlghatyan, the mother of another fallen soldier, is also a slander: "If 30 million drams were given [as compensation for the victims] during street disputes, fights [in Yerevan in March 2009], then 30 million was too little for the soldier who dedicated his life to the homeland."
