For the first time during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia has presented the session of the Ministry of Transport interdepartmental commission which issues the licenses for flights abroad, Interfax reported.

According to the published materials, Russian airlines want to get the right to fly not only to countries already permitted by the Russian government, but also to obtain licenses to fly to still-“closed” countries.

For example, NordStar, Ural Airlines, and AZUR Air request licenses to conduct regular flights to Armenia.

The remote meeting of the aforementioned commission is slated for Thursday.
