Investigators submitted selected materials to the court. This is what second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan declared during today’s court hearing.

The former head of state stated that the consultation that he convened on February 23, 2008 with members of the Yerkrapah Union of Volunteer Land Defenders was a result of the processes that were unfolding, but there is no material devoted to the consultation in the case. “In other words, there are materials devoted to the consequences of the consultation, but not the causes. How can we believe that there are no materials at all? If I am not mistaken, there are only three letters in only 80 volumes of the case of the National Security Service. Do you believe that there were no documents in the National Security Service in such circumstances?” Kocharyan asked. According to him, one of the letters, which is dated February 24, concerns the institution of a criminal case regarding what had happened, and the second letter concerns transfer to the Prosecutor General’s Office. “I’m presenting the facts you wanted, and there are a lot of them. In other words, the gathered materials are materials that they wanted to present under this case,” the ex-President concluded.
