The procedure for wearing face masks in schools in Armenia is agreed upon with the Ministry of Health. This is what Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Spot of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan said in response to deputies’ questions during a discussion on the issue of expressing lack of confidence in and impeaching the minister held by the Bright Armenia parliamentary faction of the National Assembly today.

According to Harutyunyan, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Health drafted instructions for schools and stated the conditions in which students need to wear face masks in school.

“All the requirements were agreed upon with the Ministry of Health, which always gives us instructions. It is currently necessary to wear face masks in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus so that there is no second wave in schools. Our key objective is to maintain the health of students and teachers and make sure classes are not interrupted,” the minister declared.
