The mutual recognition of COVID-19 test results is being considered within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. This is what Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan said in response to deputies’ questions in parliament today.

According to him, there is no regular passenger transport in the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS countries, except for the overland route from Belarus to Russia.

“The member states of the Eurasian Economic Union are discussing the current situation. Of course, the healthcare sector is beyond the scope of competence of the Union, but the five member states can discuss the common rules for passenger transport. We are currently discussing those issues and will make a final decision on October 8 or 9,” Grigoryan said, adding that the member states are considering the possibility of mutual recognition of COVID-19 test results.
