The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia is considering how children with special educational needs will attend classes. This is what Minister Arayik Harutyunyan said during a question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament today.

According to him, in the past, principals of several schools had declared that this issue remains unsolved.

“The ministry still doesn’t know which children don’t have to wear masks in schools due to health, who hasn’t participated in the remote classes during this whole peiod and what must be done to make up for the missed classes. We have sent all questions and proposals to the Ministry of Health,” he said.

As for the classes in which there are hearing impaired children, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport is considering the issue of obtaining transparent masks so that the children can read teachers’ lips and is holding discussions with Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.
