On December 23, 2014, the Governments of Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Armenia, as well as those countries’ central (national) banks signed an agreement on the exchange of financial information, including confidential information for ensuring free movement of capital.

This is what Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia Vakhtang Abrahamyan said during a discussion on ratification of the Protocol on Joining the Agreement of 23 December 2014 on Exchange of Financial Information, including Confidential Information” held as part of today’s session of the National Assembly. The aim of the Agreement is to coordinate and expand the process of exchange of information between the financial regulators in the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. The Agreement states the amount and type of information that will be posted on the websites of the supervisory bodies.

In case of observance of certain conditions, the information to be provided to the supervisory body of the applying member state will also be released. In particular, information about the state of the financial market and operation of financial organizations of each member state of the Eurasian Economic Union is posted on the official website of plenipotentiary bodies.
