YEREVAN. – Our society today is very vulnerable. One can say from abroad for a special purpose: "They [the Armenian authorities] have ‘sold’ Karabakh [(Artsakh)]," and "storms" will rise in Armenia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday stated this while presenting Armenia's transformation strategy until 2050.

"Today we see that an information war is being waged against Armenia, including through the already known circles inside Armenia," he said.

Separately, the PM noted that ensuring a clean and “green” Armenia is one of the mega-goals of the aforesaid strategy. "[But] this does not mean that there should be no mining industry in the Republic of Armenia; this means that there will be a high-standard mining industry in the Republic of Armenia.

Today, due to the crisis [because of the COVID-19 pandemic], tourism has equaled almost zero [in Armenia]. And if we had not had the mining industry, we would have been in a very deep collapse," Pashinyan added.
