The United States maintains its readiness to make a deal with Iran and stands for it to be a strong state. This was announced by US President Donald Trump, speaking at a presidential election campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio, TASS reported.

The head of the US administration reiterated his confidence that if he is re-elected in November, Tehran will sign such an agreement very soon.

According to the version of events described by Trump, he has ordered his subordinates to not yet negotiate with Iran on the issue of signing such an agreement.

The US has announced the extension of a number of its sanctions against Iran. The new restrictions are aimed at Tehran's nuclear development.

In addition, the US is trying to unilaterally maintain an embargo—which will soon expire—on arms and military equipment supplies to Iran.
