STEPANAKERT. – Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Haroutyunyan on Tuesday met with Armenia’s Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan—at the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, according to the Artsakh President’s official website.

The Head of the State expressed his satisfaction with the high level of cooperation between the Defense Army and the Armed Forces highlighting that defense and external security issues are in the spotlight of the political authorities of both the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia. According to President Haroutyunyan, the Armenian army plays a pivotal role in maintaining peace and stability in the region, and within this context, the sustainable expansion of our military capabilities by consistent and concerted efforts is an imperative.

Davit Tonoyan welcomed the President's first official visit to the Defense Ministry and assured that through joint and coordinated work they will continue strengthening the security system of the two Armenian states.
