Alternative NGO today held a ceremony commemorating the innocent victims of the coronavirus near Republic Square and informed that the ceremonies will be ongoing.

Narek Mantashyan, one of the organizers, told reporters that the deaths of more than 1,200 people from the coronavirus is the result of the failed struggle of the incompetent government. “Here we have figuratively stated the development of events and how was it that Prime Minister Pashinyan reported the news about the first victim of the coronavirus. Later, due to political interests, he had meetings with 25-30,000 citizens to campaign for the constitutional amendments.

Next, we present the flights and the number of citizens who crossed the borders of Armenia and weren’t under any supervision. From now on, March 1st must be marked as the day of remembrance of the citizens of Armenia who died from the coronavirus,” Mantashyan said.

Mantashyan expressed confidence that there were many reasons for the authorities to not take adequate steps to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. “The coronavirus was a lifesaver for Nikol Pashinyan, and he was able to take advantage of the coronavirus,” he said.
