YEREVAN. – Three citizens have been apprehended from the yard of the court where the consideration of the matter of arresting Gagik Tsarukyan—chairman of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party, MP, and business tycoon—is in progress. The police informed Armenian News-NEWS.am about this.

They were apprehended for failing to comply with a lawful request by police officers.

The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan on Friday is considering the National Security Service’s petition to remand Gagik Tsarukyan in custody.

As reported earlier, Tsarukyan has been charged with orchestrating vote buying. But he does not accept the charge and says it as illegal.
