The prosecutor's office will launch proceedings against the judge who made the decision to denied the petition to arrest Gagik Tsarukyan—chairman of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party, MP, and business tycoon. Gor Abrahamyan, Adviser to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia (RA), wrote about this on Facebook.

"Taking into account that the decision of the RA Court of Appeal on overturning that decision of the Court of First Instance has entered into legal force, the RA Prosecutor's Office will launch a process of instituting disciplinary proceedings against the judge who passed that judicial act of the Court of First Instance," Abrahamyan wrote, in particular.

As reported earlier, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan on Friday granted the National Security Service’s petition to remand Gagik Tsarukyan in custody.

Tsarukyan has been charged with orchestrating vote buying. But he does not accept the charge and says it is illegal.
