YEREVAN. – I do not think that a Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting will be held until the humanitarian ceasefire takes place. Edmon Marukyan, chairman of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and head of its parliamentary faction, said this in a talk with journalists Wednesday.

And reflecting on Armenian President Armen Sarkissian leaving for Brussels to have meetings with a number of top officials, Marukyan said: "The visit is important; maybe it should have been organized sooner in the context of making the reactions of the international community more targeted and objective. For example, before striking Ganja [city of Azerbaijan], Stepanakert and other cities [of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)] were being bombed [by Azerbaijan] with cluster bombs, but no statement was made in that regard. This means that our diplomacy has shortcomings, and those shortcomings must be remedied. If no announcement is made about Stepanakert, it should not be made about Ganja either.”
