The Government of Armenia today decided to set a temporary ban on imports of final goods from Turkey starting from December 31, 2020.

The restriction on the imports of Turkish goods first and foremost implies a security component, taking into consideration the facts that have already been confirmed, according to which Turkey is overtly supporting the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and the terrorist acts committed by Azerbaijan. Through the ban on imports of Turkish goods, there will not be additions to the state treasury of Turkey, and the penetration of possible risks into Armenia through imports of final goods from Turkey will be prevented.
