The condition of Russian reporter Yuri Kotenok who was injured at the Holy Savior Ghazanchetsots Church in Shushi, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), is improving, and there are no contraindications to transferring him from Yerevan to Moscow. Russian Assistant Minister of Health Aleksey Kuznetsov told about this to RIA Novosti.

Earlier it was reported that Kotenok could not be transferred to Moscow yet, as it was considered necessary to complete all medical and rehabilitation procedures on location.

Two weeks ago, the Ghazanchetsots Church in Shushi was shelled twice by the Azerbaijani army, injuring Russian reporters Yuri Kotenok and Levon Arzanov as well as Hrant Badalyan, a member of their accompanying group, who had arrived at the scene to cover the aftermath of the first shelling.

Arzanov and Badalyan were later transferred to Russia, whereas Kotenok continued his treatment in Yerevan.

On October 10, it was reported that the reporter had come out of a coma, was disconnected from the ventilator, and had started talking again.
