In recent days, the Azerbaijani propaganda machine has been actively circulating propaganda theses about the positive attitude towards Armenians, the chances for coexisting, seeing Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan, etc., which just cause laughter. Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Human Rights Defender (ombudsman) Artak Beglaryan stated about this at a press conference on Saturday.

"First of all, the future of Artsakh is decided exclusively by the population of Artsakh, with the support of the whole Armenian people, as we are the master of the Artsakh Republic, we are the ones who decide our destiny. Therefore, there can be no talk about the possibility of living as part of Azerbaijan; it is simply ruled out. We have exclusive rights to live in our homeland.

Second, for decades, the Azerbaijani authorities have pursued a policy that has deepened in their society the level of hatred towards Armenians and simply made it impossible for the two peoples to coexist in any foreseeable future. (…) The propaganda of this hatred should be stopped as soon as possible if they are thinking of becoming a neighbor," Beglaryan added.

He stressed that the international community should also think about this, as it is also responsible for all this because it was obvious that the propaganda of this hatred would explode one day.

At the end of his remarks, the Artsakh ombudsman informed that his second closed report on the inhuman treatment by Azerbaijan will soon be submitted to the relevant international organizations.
