Now it is already clear that maintenance of the ceasefire was a failure again. Now I can’t say how the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group and the presidents of those countries will respond to this, but you have to know that the Armenian party has done its best to maintain it. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated during his live broadcast with the caption “Another failed ceasefire”.

“The Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) has been very constraint since this morning, but at midday, it was safe to record that, in essence, the ceasefire didn’t take place. The third ceasefire was a failure,” Pashinyan said and reminded that last evening US President Donald Trump even congratulated the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“We still don’t know how the US President will respond to this, but I would like to say that I had a phone talk with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo after midnight and directly told him that this was the third ceasefire and I could predict what was going to happen the next day. The main question I asked him was how he would clarify which party violated the ceasefire and what consequences it would have for the violating party. I hope the US official answers these questions today,” Pashinyan said, adding the following: “If the US, Russia and France aren’t able to establish a ceasefire in this conflict zone, this means that we are all living in a totally different world and we need to understand what this world represents. I’m not insisting on this because we still hope that the efforts of the three presidents will lead to specific results.”
