Lusine Mirzoyan, 34, from Martakert, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), has had her eighth child—through natural childbirth—at a Yerevan hospital.

In response to the doctor's best wishes, "You are a heroine mother, your son was born, congratulations," Lusine modestly responded. "By law, a ‘heroine’ is she who has ten children; I still have [just] eight children."

The baby and her mother are doing well and waiting to be discharged.
