Minister of Health of Armenia Arsen Torosyan today held a video talk with World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge.

Torosyan presented the coronavirus situation in Armenia and the situation conditioned by the hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan. He also expressed gratitude to the WHO for its ongoing support during the pandemic and emphasized his concern about the launch of hostilities by Azerbaijan during the pandemic, particularly the fact that the aggression was launched amid the global health crisis.

Hans Kluge talked about the support that the WHO has provided to Armenia to date and added that the WHO has also provided collections of tools for treating traumas and performing surgeries for the injured.

Since the start of the pandemic, the WHO and the Ministry of Health of Armenia have been closely collaborating, and the WHO has provided technical assistance to manage the coronavirus cases, prevent and control the spread of the virus, etc.
