Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Wednesday had a telephone conversation with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

During the phone talk, Minister Mnatsakanyan provided High Representative Borrell with detailed information on Azerbaijan’s violation of the third ceasefire agreement that was reached in Washington, and on Baku’s consequent continued targeting of the civilian population and infrastructure of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The Armenian FM also referred to the dire humanitarian situation in Artsakh as a result of these Azerbaijani hostilities.

Touching upon Turkey's destabilizing actions in the South Caucasus, Minister Mnatsakanyan stressed that such actions pose a threat to both regional and international security.

FM Mnatsakanyan also reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to the Karabakh conflict’s solely peaceful settlement within the framework of the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

The interlocutors stressed the need to implement the ceasefire agreements that have been reaches and to establish a stable and overseeable ceasefire.
