At this moment, the Ambassador of Armenia to Israel is still in Yerevan. This is what Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Anna Naghdalyan said during today’s briefing when asked what actions have been taken or will be taken after recalling the Ambassador since, as is known, Armenia decided to recall its Ambassador to Israel for consultations on October 1.

Asked about Armenia’s current position on Israel’s sale of weapons to Azerbaijan, Naghdalyan recalled that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement on that. “It is a principled position that arms should not be sold to a country that doesn’t avert the use of weapons against the civilian population and civilian infrastructures which we have witnessed throughout the past month,” she said.

On October 1, in response to a question about supply of weapons to Azerbaijan, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anna Naghdalyan emphasized that the Armenian party views that the sale of the latest arms to Azerbaijan in a period when Azerbaijan is carrying out large-scale aggression against Artsakh and Armenia with the help of Turkey is inadmissible.

“Due to the created situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to call the Ambassador for consultations,” she stated.
