YEREVAN. – The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, took place Friday in Geneva, Switzerland, with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.

Issues related to the implementation of the joint statement adopted in Moscow on October 10, in particular, the steps to be taken to ceasefire were discussed during the meeting, the Armenian Foreign Ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Minister Mnatsakanyan stressed the need for unconditional implementation of the ceasefire agreements reached through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries—Russia, France, and the United States—and the immediate establishment of a lasting ceasefire. Minister Mnatsakanyan emphasized the role of verification mechanisms in establishing and maintaining the ceasefire.

Armenia’s FM also stressed the inadmissibility of deliberate targeting of the civilian population and civilian infrastructure of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the continuation of the process aimed at the peaceful settlement exclusively within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

On the same day, the Foreign Minister of Armenia met with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
