Citizens of Yerevan have shut down streets with the demand for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation. Police are apprehending demonstrators who have shut down the Baghramyan Avenue-Demirtchyan Street intersection, and among the demonstrators were Head of Henaket Analytical Center Tigran Abrahamyan and former chief of staff of the National Assembly of Armenia Ara Saghatelyan.

“Every informed citizen needs to protest against the treacherous acts. All citizens need to come out to the streets. There will be more hardships, including the lawsuits that Azerbaijan has filed with international courts. Nikol Pashinyan must resign, after which an ad-hoc government must be formed,” Saghatelyan said. After he said that, a citizen told him he should have gone and defended the border, to which Saghatelyan said he had defended the border.

Head of Green Future environmental movement Vahagn Varagyan was also apprehended at Baghramyan Avenue.
