President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has called on Russian peacekeepers to smoothen ties with Armenians and Azerbaijanis in Nagorno-Karabakh, disallow domestic conflicts and ensure stability in the regions from which Armenian troops have been withdrawn, RIA Novosti reported.

Putin today held a consultation over the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh via a video call. During the consultation, Commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Nagorno-Karabakh, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov delivered a report.

“Peaceful citizens, Armenians remain in certain regions from which Armenian units have been withdrawn, including, for example, Aghdam and Lachin corridor. It’s clear that Russian peacekeepers are standing at the separating line,” Putin said after Muradov delivered his report.
