The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES)’ second convoy carrying humanitarian aid has headed from Rostov Region of Russia to Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)], TASS reported Saturday, citing the MES press service.

"Today it [the convoy] will travel 630 km, transporting 35 units of equipment and about 40 staff members," the MES press service added.

The ministry informed that the first respective convoy will arrive in the Artsakh capital Stepanakert Saturday afternoon. "The first convoy has 70 km left to pass," added the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities— which Azerbaijan had launched on September 27—in and around Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers will be deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities.
