Within the framework of the visit of the Russian interdepartmental delegation to Armenia on November 21, a meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov took place.

Welcoming the members of the delegation, Ayvazyan stressed the importance of the Armenian-Russian allied relations in maintaining peace and stability in the region, especially recently.

According to him, recent events have greatly changed the perception of regional stability and security.

Continuing the recent telephone conversation, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia exchanged views on a number of issues on the bilateral and regional agenda.

The ministers noted the importance of maintaining the dynamics and intensity of the dialogue at various levels, including through mutual visits. Ayvazyan accepted Lavrov's invitation to make a working visit to Moscow in the near future.
