Democratic president-elect Joe Biden is considering naming Tom Donilon, a veteran diplomat and national security adviser to former President Barack Obama, as director of the CIA, Reuters reported referring to a person familiar with the situation

Biden, who takes office on January 20, is also considering Michael Morell, who was twice deputy director of the CIA and acting director of the agency under Obama, for the post.

He has already selected other veterans of the Obama administration for top national security posts, including Antony Blinken, a former deputy secretary of state, for secretary of state, and Avril Haines, a deputy at the CIA under Obama, to be the director of national intelligence.
