YEREVAN. – This is anarchy; the government is completely idle, and the National Assembly acts by order. Gevorg Petrosyan, an MP of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), said this at a press conference Friday, emphasizing that now there is great disappointment in the Armenian society, and the people express a desire to emigrate from the country.

According to the lawmaker, the people no longer have a vision for the future.

As per the PAP MP, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has repeatedly overthrown the constitutional order during his tenure, he realizes that when he resigns, he will appear under the attention of law enforcement, and this is why he is prolonging his rule.

And as for the criticism that those who demand Pashinyan's resignation are actually fighting for office, Petrosyan stated that he himself was now a high-ranking official, and why should he be interested in fighting for office? "If we were interested in our position, our smooth life today, we would have said, 'Let’s not get involved, let’s not say anything, we are getting a salary, incentives,’ etc. We do not need an office; we are [already] holding office today," he said.
