The Criminalistics Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia continues the preliminary investigation of the criminal case launched in relation to the cases of commission of acts deemed to be serious violations of norms of international humanitarian law, issuance of criminal order during armed conflict and mercenarism during the aggressive war unleashed and led by the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan along the entire length of the line of contact of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and during international terrorism and armed clashes; within the scope of the preliminary investigation, the investigative group of the Investigative Committee and the Investigation Department of the National Security Service of Armenia are performing large-scale investigative and other procedural actions.

During the preliminary investigation, among others, the body implementing proceedings is also examining all cases of acts committed against servicemen of the Defense Army of Artsakh with the status of prisoner of war and civilians and deemed to be serious violations of the norms of international humanitarian law (murders, tortures, inhumane and degrading treatment).

The Department of Information and Public Relations of the Investigative Committee of Armenia informs that all those who have recognized their relatives in the videos disseminated on the Internet and haven’t conducted investigative acts to find them are asked to contact the Criminalistics Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia by calling at (011) 88-00-94 and (011) 88-00-21.
