The Russian Defense Ministry has set up a field hospital in Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] , RIA Novosti reported.

"The installation of the modules is over. We focus firstly on ensuring medical care for the [Russian] peacekeeping contingent [in Nagorno-Karabakh]. And we are ready to help the civilian population [as well]. We are ready to accommodate up to 40 people in our funds," Yaroslav Ivanov, head of the medical department, told reporters.

On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities— which Azerbaijan had launched on September 27—in and around Artsakh. Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities.
