Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not comment on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's statement that the presidents of Russia and Turkey responded positively to the idea of creating a corridor connecting Nakhchivan with the western regions of Azerbaijan, TASS reported.

"I will leave this particular topic without comment," Peskov told reporters. "Let me just recall that a week or two ago, in one of the statements on the phone conversation between [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and Aliyev, we spoke about the fact that, aside from other matters, the [two] heads of state discussed the matter of unblocking and development of transport communications in the region."
