After the transfer of the Kashatagh region of Artsakh under the control of Azerbaijan, the village of Kornidzor of the Syunik region became a border one.

The village is now 400 meters from the border, and the Armenian positions are 200 meters from the village, deputy head of the village of Kornidzor Arkady Khachatryan told Armenian NEWS - NEWS.am.

“We were far ahead, and we moved 8 km away. What can you do when the state border runs along this part, and the border is drawn using GPS," he said.

The position of the village is occupied by a detachment of local residents.

As for pastures and fields, a significant part of them is already on the other side of the border.

“We must change the profile of agriculture, we must engage in greenhouse farming, intensive livestock raising,” Khachatryan said.

According to him, 1,050 people live in Kornidzor, and at that moment no one has emigrated.
