A railway terminal will soon be built in the northwestern Parsabad County of Iran's Ardabil Province, the latter’s governor Akbar Behnamjou said, Trend reports.

According to him, a respective agreement was signed at the 14th meeting of the Azerbaijani-Iranian commission on economic, trade, and humanitarian cooperation.

Behnamjou added that the first 25 km of the Ardabil-Parsabad railway has already been built.

He noted that the aforesaid terminal will contribute to the export of agricultural products to Azerbaijan, Russia, and Central Asia.

To note, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday received Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
