A snowfall hit the US east coast, resulting in movement restrictions, closing schools, and vaccination sites. 

New York mayor Bill de Blasio declared a state of emergency, recommending residents to stay at home and limiting non-essential travel, RG reported.

According to the mayor, this difficult situation could get worse.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo today 'expanded a declared state of emergency to cover 44 New York counties as a slow-moving Nor'easter is poised to produce blizzard-like conditions for the next two days with wind gusts ranging from 40 to 60 mph,' the state said in a statement.
