Washington’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide is a “carrot and stick” game, not sympathy for the Armenian people. This is what Spokesperson of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said, TASS reports.

“I believe the recognition is most probably Washington’s favorite “carrot and stick” game. It’s not a desire to feel sympathy for the Armenian people or a desire to deeply understand the history of the Ottoman Empire and Armenia,” the Kremlin’s representative said.
