The US administration is not trying to contain China but is in favor of maintaining the existing system of international relations, based on established rules, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told BBC.

The United States does not seek to restrain China, to hinder its development, Blinken said.

The US is in favor of preserving a certain international system based on rules, which the United States and Great Britain have made a very big contribution to strengthening.

The secretary also noted that European countries should be very careful about the nature of Chinese investments in their economies.
